David could not imagine what it would be like for people who have this disability not to be able to see the sky, or hear someone’s voice. So David is fundraising for Sense, a national charity that supports people with complex communication needs, including those who are deafblind, to be understood, connected and valued. They are there for every person who faces communication barriers in a world that relies on being able to see and hear well to be connected.
On 9th – 10th June 2018 David will be trekking The RidgeWalk, an exhilarating 52 mile ultramarathon along the oldest national trail in Britain, the Ridgeway. He will walk for 24 hours, climbing 3,800ft through remote ancient landscapes in whatever weather comes his way. Goodness knows what his feet are going to think of this walk, but knowing he is raising money for this amazing charity, for the great work Sense provide and having the support from the people who are sponsoring him will make the blisters all the more worthwhile!
So if you feel you can help and donate a few pounds, David, his poor aching feet and all those who benefit from the brilliant work Sense do everyday will all feel very grateful.
